BRASS PACIFICA was started in 1995 by five of Los Angeles’ top young brass players. They were brought together by their love for chamber music and their desire to be inspired by other excellent musicians. Since the group’s inception, Brass Pacifica has performed across the United States, including a year-long residency with the Grand Theatre in Ellsworth, Maine. The residency was sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and Chamber Music America. While in Maine, Brass Pacifica (then called the Los Angeles Brass Quintet) performed throughout the Northeast and won Grand Prize at the Georgia International Brass Quintet Competition.

At present, the group is busy playing over 100 concerts per year across Southern California in formal recitals, special events and educational outreach concerts.

Brass Pacifica is on the artists’ roster for the Los Angeles Music Center, the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s “Arts Teach” program, the Da Camera Society and Get Arts Smart.
